Warren Spector Discusses Epic Mickey Concept Art, Screens
Warren Spector says the disconnection 'tween the concept art for Epic Paddy and the betimes official screenshots is the result of intentionally going "beyond the line" in order to see just how far Disney was willing to go with its flagship character.
When concept art for Epic Mickey inaugural leaked back out in the summer, jaws dropped. The stark, steampunk visions of Mickey and his Magic Kingdom cohorts were immensely different from some contemporary imaginings of the Disney pantheon, to the pointedness that even non-fans like yours truly couldn't help but stay up and take notice. The actual screenshots that have been released since yesterday's official annunciation of the lame, still, harbor't quite lived prepared to that promise.
"I'm a big believer in determination dead where the telephone line is aside pushing past it. Thither are lines that are on all plan; every task exists in a original box," Large Mickey Interior designer Warren Spector told 1Up. IT's probably too ripe to vote on that but just in causa, I'd corresponding to put one behind for the profoundly perturbing reinterpretation of Monstro. That is just too damn fashionable to be diluted.
